I read that the American, Stuart Holden, has been taken on loan too.

Isn't Weiss a winger and Holden a midfielder?

Weiss plays for Manchester City. He's supposed to be excellent (though still young and one for the future at City) but he needs to be playing first team football so he is selected for his country.
